CREATE THE SUPPORT SYSTEMS FRANCHISEES EXPECT.
”If you think it’s expensive to train people and have them leave, imagine how much it costs to not train them and have them stay.- Gary Harvey
Creating a sustainable franchise business model requires a strong commitment and investment in franchisee education. Training new franchisees is a challenge. Typically, franchisees have previous work experience. Each franchisee is unique and carries the weight of their history with them. In a former life, they may have been a factory worker or doctor. They bought a franchise because it gives them the freedom to own and operate their own business, build wealth and be their own boss. This fails when there is little or no structured new franchisee education.
Franchisees need to be educated at each step during their life-cycle. It begins from the moment they make first contact through opening and until the day they exit the system. This includes a new franchisee education program with structured curriculum and offering on-going training courses. Franchise systems are only as smart at their franchisees, and the intelligent ones create gold-standard education programs.
